The Iron House

The “Casa del Fierro” has been drawn in 1887 by Gustave Eiffel (yes, the same architect of Tower Eiffel in France). This is a kind of big hall made of iron; it was built in Paris and then transported in detached pieces to Iquitos. It was one of the greatest “rubber Barons” which, at this golden period, made it come from France to embellish Iquitos.
